Boone Lake Association
Zenda Nichols, President. Zenda has worked for a local health system in the technology department since 1991. Having spent all her Summer weekends on Boone Lake since 1966, that has now increased to every season except Winter after purchasing her dream lake property near marker 12. Protecting Boone Lake is her passion!
Tom McKee, First Vice President. Tom is a life long resident of Washington County, whose family has owned a residence adjacent to Pointe 16 on Boone Lake since 1959. He served three terms on the Johnson City Board of Commissioners and as Mayor. Expansions to both o Johnson City's Waste Water Treatment Plants and the purchase and development of Winged Deer Park are two of the many public projects with which he was involved. Tom is currently practicing law with Herdon, Coleman, Brading & McKee and is counsel for the JC Power Board.
Val Kosmider, Second Vice President. Val lives in the Lake Harbor Subdivision. He is in the investment business. In 2015, he took over the leadership of the Water Quality Committee. Along with help from A.J. Bernhardt, Val has covered Boone Lake several times collecting water samples for testing.
Larry Larson, Treasurer. Larry is a thirty-six year Marine Corps veteran. He and his wife Ann, also a former Marine, moved to Boone Lake from State College, PA where Larry served on staff at Penn State University as the Electro-Optics Center chief pilot conducting research for Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Sensors.
Ann Larson, Secretary. Ann and her husband Larry are new residents of the Boone Lake community. She is retired and is now busy pursuing her interests in quilting and paper crafts. Even former Marines can have a softer side.
Ken Bronner. A founding member of BLA, Ken is currently managing Lake Operations along with Bobby Booher. Since its inception, Ken and his wife Ellen have been at the forefront of most BLA activities. The knowledge and experience that Ken has acquired over all these years are invaluable for our organization.
Ron Siegfried. Ron is retired from King Pharmaceuticals as EVP Research & Development. He has served as President and 20 year Board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Bristol. He recently joined the Board of The Boone Watershed Partnership and chairs the Beaver Creek Watershed Alliance. He resides with his wife Alice on Boone Lake in the Cross Anchor subdivision.
Jerry Frank. Jerry, originally from Pennsylvania, has been a co-owner of Boone Lake Marina since 2008. He is an active supporter and contributor to BLA events, such as Boone Lake Clean-up Day. Boone Lake Marina maintains the BLA boats and provides assistance with other BLA projects.
Frank Young. Since joining the Boone Lake Association, Frank has shown himself to be a tower of strength, helping with boat maintenance, promoting innovative ways to capture trash in Boone's feeder streams, and as a strong member of our "Cash for Trash" Management Team.
Aaron Warren. Aaron has worked for Boone Lake Association for the past several years as a leading member of the cleanup crew. He is dedicted to environmental concerns and the work of BLA. Aaron has broad knowledge of Boone Lake and many of the lake residents.
Chris Runyon. Chris provides the webmaster expertise on the BLA website. He also assists with the periodic Shoreliner creation.
